The project

This brick English cottage style home was inspired by the architect Stanley Anderson who interned for six years in the office of Howard Van Doren Shaw, the prominent Chicago architect responsible for Lake Forest's Market Square and numerous North Shore estates. He started his own practice in 1924 and continued until his unexpected death in 1960.

Located in Lake Bluff, approximately 3,250 square feet, this cottage style home has generous ground floor living with a gourmet kitchen, laundry, living, dining and sun room. The second floor has three bedrooms with a shared bath and a primary suite with a walkout sun deck. The basement has finished nine foot ceilings encompassing an additional bedroom, bathroom, recreation room and home theater.
